Kick off the 2026 ADV Riding Season on the Great Ohio Adventure Trail!
This April, adventure motorcyclists from all over Ohio will once again gather at the Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area in the heart of the Ironton Unit of Wayne National Forest for one of the premier kickoff events for the ADV riding season – the Section 3 Spring Camp N Ride on the Great Ohio Adventure Trail!
Join us for a wonderful weekend of motocamping and exploring Section 3 of the Great Ohio Adventure Trail!
About the Area
Section 3 of the Great Ohio Adventure Trail dives deep into one of the most rugged and remote corners of the state – its southernmost region. It’s a landscape defined by deep hollows, history, and views which are unique to the area and offer adventure riders endless off-pavement riding.
Camp N Ride Area Overview
Camping Information
Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area
Our home base for the Section 3 Spring Camp N Ride will be the Two Point Group Campground located within Oak Hill Campground, adjacent to Lake Vesuvius.
Two Point Group Campground
We have reserved the group campground to serve as the Camp N Ride “central hub”. This is where we will host group campfires, nightly hangouts and motocamping.
- Who can camp at Two Point: Riders who arrive on their ADV bikes and are camping directly off their bikes. You do not need to reserve a site at the campground.
- Who cannot camp at Two Point: Any vehicle with more than two wheels. No trucks, no trailers, and no campers/RVs are permitted to park or camp at the group site. You do need to reserve a site at the campground.
Oak Hill & Iron Ridge Campgrounds
Hauling a bike? Bringing a camper? You must reserve your own individual campsite through recreation.gov for your vehicle and/or trailer for the duration of the Camp N Ride. We love to have everyone hang out with us at Two Point, but we just don’t have the room for all of the trucks and trailers.
Both Oak Hill and Iron Ridge are excellent campgrounds located within the same recreation area and are just a short walk or ride from our group headquarters at Two Point.
Reserve at Oak Hill Campground: Closest to the group site and features electric hookups.
Reserve at Iron Ridge Campground: Located on the ridge above the lake; great for those wanting a bit more quiet.
General Lake Vesuvius Info: Details on water, bathhouses, and recreation.
Lodging Information
Hotels are conveniently located in Ironton, located 15-20 minutes south of Lake Vesuvius.

There will be 3 options for guided group ADV rides:

- Crown City ADV Loop: The 95-mile Crown City Loop has great gravel and dirt road riding throughout as well as some wide open views. A short, technical hill climb is available for those seeking a challenge. Lunch stop will be at the R&R Gas Station. This route will be ran counterclockwise.
