About Us

Our History

Lost at Last Adventure Travel traces its roots back to early 2022 when a journey of self-discovery and a passion for adventure travel sparked its inception. The founder, Brad McFadden, a veteran of the U.S. Army, embarked on a quest to find fulfillment and joy after transitioning from service.

In late 2019, a late night phone call with his dad ignited an interest in the world of adventure motorcycling. The turning point came during a week on the Trans America Trail in 2020, leading to an epiphany about the joy of adventure travel.

However, by late 2021, overwhelmed and feeling directionless, Brad sought solace on a trip to Arizona, renting an adventure motorcycle to explore the mountains. A fortuitous encounter with a fellow rider amidst the wilderness sparked a defining moment. The conversation about being “lost” led to an epiphany that birthed the concept of Lost at Last Adventure Travel.

Returning home, Brad launched a travel blog, aiming to educate and inspire others by highlighting captivating historical destinations around the United States. The success of the blog led to the creation of engaging adventure travel videos on YouTube, captivating audiences with stories from the trail.

In 2023, the spirit of giving back and fostering the adventure community led to the establishment of the Great Ohio Adventure Trail, the first route tailored for adventure motorcycling and overland travel, spanning Ohio from the Ohio River to Lake Erie. The YouTube channel rapidly gained traction, amassing 500+ subscribers, while the Great Ohio Adventure Trail’s Facebook Group boasts a vibrant community of 1,000+ members.

Presently, Lost at Last Adventure Travel collaborates with county tourism boards to promote adventure tourism, aiming to unlock the thrill of exploration and share the wonders of Ohio’s landscape with adventurers around the country.
